MTN of C Canadian Fellowships

In late summer and early autumn, Monarch butterflies begin an epic migration to overwintering sites in Mexico and California. Each winter, Monarch Teacher Network (EIRC) organizes a teacher tour to view this spectacular phenomenon.

Fellowships of between $400 and $1,000 CDN are available to assist Canadian graduates of the Teaching & Learning with Monarch Butterflies workshops participate in the California tour. These fellowships are offered by MTN of C with financial support from The W. Garfield Weston Foundation, allowing educators to deepen their knowledge and understanding of MTN initiatives. The funds may be applied to the land travel portion of the teacher's tour to Monarch butterfly overwintering sites in California.
