Fellowships
In the late summer and early autumn, Monarch butterflies begin their 3000+ kilometre migration to overwintering sites in Mexico and California, and each winter, Monarch Teacher Network (EIRC) organizes "teacher tours" to view this spectacular phenomenon.

Fellowships of between $400 and $1000 CDN are available to assist Canadian graduates of the Teaching and Learning with Monarch Butterflies workshops participate in the California tour. These fellowships are offered by MTN of C with financial support from The W. Garfield Weston Foundation, allowing educators to deepen their knowledge and skills related to MTN initiatives. The funds may be applied to the land travel portion of the teacher's tour to Monarch overwintering sites in California. Deadline for submission for the fellowships is September 27, 2013!
